Welcome to the Fiddle Heart Music Books website!

Fiddle Heart Books 1, 2 and 3, and their accompanying CD's (book 1 & 2 only), are Scandinavian fiddle tunes which can be used for solo, group, chamber music and ensemble playing. Book 1 & 2 contain 15 pieces each of different levels, from elementary to fairly advanced. Book 3 has 16 tunes of entirely Swedish tunes, easy to advanced.

Scandinavian folk music is a great supplementary repertoire to most regular violin methods. Additionally, these songs lend themselves to dancing and marching. Our sheet music arrangements for regular string quartet setting and orchestra with first and second violin, viola, cello, and optional bass provides stimulating repertoire for easy to intermediate ensembles and ensemble classes.

Fiddle Heart Book 1

15 Scandinavian Fiddle Tunes, mostly Swedish, compiled and arranged for two to three violins, some with cello. Most arrangements are made for educational purposes with very easy parts (some with open strings only) to provide an early introduction to fiddling for violin beginner students. The tunes are fun for performance and enjoyment by very young to very old players alike and their audience!

Fiddle Heart Book 2

15 Scandinavian Fiddle Tunes, mostly Swedish, compiled and arranged for two to three violins, or two violins & viola. Two tunes have easy parts, including open strings only, for the very young players. Book 2 has a few easy elementary tunes but is basically more geared towards intermediate or advanced fiddle styles and playing techniques, like double stops, droning strings, harmonics, shifting (4th position.) The tunes are fun for performance and enjoyment by very young to very old players alike and their audience!

Fiddle Heart Book 3

16 Scandinavian Fiddle Tunes, all Swedish, compiled and arranged for two to three violins. Chord indications are included when applicable. Several tunes are in the Dorian mode. Four tunes have easy parts, including open strings for the very young players. Book 3 has several easy elementary tunes. All tunes can be played in first position. Some intricate rhythms and double stops provide challenges for the more advanced. Lots of effort will have to be focused on Swedish fiddling styles, like some different polska styles, polka, waltz, and schottis. The tunes are fun for performance and enjoyment by very young to very old players alike and their audience!
